Katherine Heigl has opened up about growing up within "a the white bubble." The actress also discusses how this experience has affected the parenting style of her adopted children who are multi-racial. The "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in a recent interview she was told that when it came to skin color -- it didn't matter to her the way she looked however, after speaking about her sister's age, who was adopted by South Korea, she realized how differently society viewed both of the two. "I wanted to know Meg how she was different when she went out with our parents and those who went out on her own. Meg replied: "Oh yes, I've seen it all I've seen it all! This made me realize I had been so naive," Heigl said to her parents. She confessed that she was angry, but she felt the need to use this anger to assist her daughters. Heigl and her long-time husband -- singer Josh Kelley -- have a 4-year-old son together, Joshua Bishop Kelley, Jr. In 2009, the couple adopted Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter of South Korea, and Adalaide (8, a black child) in 2012.
